AVA offers a couple of fly-fishing trips to try out. You can float on the Upper Colorado River with a guide that will be there with you all along to help you learn the basics and techniques to give you the best fly-fishing adventure while floating along the beautiful scenic Colorado River. Another AVA trip is the Walk and Wade on the Arkansas River. These walk and wade activities are also guided and is located in Buena Vista, Colorado. You can fly-fish at your own pace and move along however you would like to find those perfect fishing spots. All gear is included and is great for beginners. The Arkansas River has amazing views you can take in while fishing along the river banks that are surrounded by mountains and canyons.

Around the Vail Valley area are some other locations to fly-fish. One of the oldest fly-fishing companies is Gore Creek Fly-Fishing in the Vail Valley. Providing fishing locations in Vail, Beaver Creek, and Avon on a number of rivers including Eagle River, Gore Creek, and the Roaring Fork River.
